Our History

We started business in 2004 with our shop set up in a heartland mall at the Western side of Singapore. Occupying a floor area then of about 600 square feet, the product range is restricted to just children products, bicycles and electric bicycles.

Over the next few years, with the strong support of our regular customers, our sales for the electric bicycles have been growing. Under its dedicated management, we started doing more technical innovations and research. With the strength in the mechanical and electrical know-how of the electric bicycles, we started transforming internally to include more functions to our rank.

In 2008, MKP Pte Ltd is formally set up to take on the role of the distributor and importer. A year later, our official service centre is set up and this has given us the ability to do assembly as well as major repairs that we were not able to do in our earlier years. In addition, we have trademarked our own brand of electric bicycles, making “Tornado” truly Singaporean!

In 2010, we shifted to our current location. Given a bigger place now, we are able to serve you better. With a proper showroom and an accessible service centre, we hope to bring to our customers and dealers a better experience both in service and product range.

In 2012, we have added international brands - Ferrari and Fast4ward to our homegrown “Tornado” brand and products in a bid to reach out to the regional crowds. With exposures in events like the OCBC Cycle and F1 this year, we are slowly forging an ASEAN identity.

With these milestones met, MKP strives to grow from strength to strength. We believe what we have done so far has given us a strong foundation for bigger things to be built on, allowing us to serve our loyal supporters better.
